Time Banks UK is a Registered Charity, number 1101204 and a Company Limited by Guarantee, number 4502783. It was originally set up in 2000 by time banking pioneers Fair Shares and the New Economics Foundation.

All activities are currently managed from Gloucester, where most staff are based, but a regional network of mentors exists to support time banking at a regional level.
