Co-production seminar
This is a specialist seminar looking at the concept of co-production and is aimed at professionals working in health, local government and other organisations. The time banking tool is recognised by government as a crucial way of developing community engagement and promoting active citizenship. This seminar is aimed at explaining and discussing how statutory and voluntary agencies can change the way they provide services so that they move away from unilateral transactions that focus on need and deficiencies (and that reward dependency) to two-way 'co-production' that generates reciprocity, affirms self worth, builds community and empowers the recipients to become contributors. We are offering this as open sessions or we can arrange tailor made in-house programmes for councillors, local government officers (social workers, community workers, youth workers) health workers and to students studying community development.
