Useful Funding Websites

General fundraising

Visit 'The Sustainable Funding Project' microsite at NCVO which focusses on income generation and strategic planning for funding. In particular, look at their section on useful funding contacts.

Other useful sites include:

  • Charity Commission
  • Charitynet
  • Grantsnet
  • The Directory of Social Change
  • The Big Lottery Fund
  • Natural England
  • TimeBank
  • UnLtd  (Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs)
  • Access has a free email update on funding
  • Funder Finder is a database of funding opportunities. You can normally access this software via your local volunteer bureaux or library. The Fund Finder website has a useful section on funding contacts.

Government Funding

A good overall site is the Government Funding website. It has full information on funding for voluntary and community sector from 4 government departments (Dept Education & Skills; Dept of Health; Office of Deputy Prime Minister; Home Office) and governement offices for the regions.

Also see the Active Community Unit site

Charitable Trusts & Foundations for specific projects including:

Company Giving

European Funding

A good website is the DTI's guide to European Strutural Funds.
